Sometimes, a service is so new that you have to explain who is behind it, what they want, and what they are offering. On this page, we will strive to do exactly that.

Maybe not yet, but we are working on it. Our brand will be based on trust, trust that our drivers will charge you the correct fare, trust that we will arrive on time and trust that you and your loved ones will be safe whilst you are with us. It will take time to surpass the likes of Veezu, Blueline, etc.

Our launch date is scheduled for sometime in late June 2024. Then, we can start making a difference in the way people book taxis in Barnsley.

All of our founders have different skill sets that we have brought to the company. Two are drivers who have been taxi drivers in Barnsley for over 20 years. Another is an international finance investor who owns some of the UK’s top finance brands, including QuickQuid.co.uk. The fourth and final member is experienced in app and web development, responsible for leading the teams behind some of the UK’s biggest transport and haulage apps.

We aren’t in this for the short haul. We plan to build Barnsley Taxis into the biggest taxi platform in Barnsley. While we have the money and individuals to compete with the biggest taxi providers out there, our aim isn’t to compete with the likes of Veezu. Instead, our aim is to provide a platform so that every single private driver can compete with them. In fact, Veezu is more than welcome (if they choose, but we don’t see them doing so) to use the Barnsley Taxis platform to compete for passengers.

We’ll do that by empowering each driver to set their own prices and allowing passengers, should they choose to do so, to book their favorite driver directly. For us, this platform is all about choice.

The first goal is to achieve financial self-sufficiency. Taxi services are notoriously expensive and risky to start up. While the founders have the financial means to run the project at a loss indefinitely, the goal is for it to be able to fund itself.

The second, and most important, goal is to provide the passengers of Barnsley with choice. We want our passengers to choose their drivers, how much they are charged, the type of car, and the method of payment. All major decisions are placed back into the hands of the passengers. In our view, customers drive the changes that improve standards, and we intend to give them the ability to make those choices themselves.
